Abstract (Englisch):Currently the relationship between special education and “general education” (pedagogy) is undertheorized. Nevertheless special education can and must be grounded within pedagogy. This thesis tries to bridge this gap by reconstructing the systematic beginnings of special education as theoretical and practical pedagogy. To reach this goal it is analyzed how equality/inequality and participation/non-participation as general problems of education are elaborated in the works of Comenius, Rousseau and Pestalozzi. The thesis shows that in processing and handling these problems Inclusion and Exclusion can be seen as general educational problems of pedagogy and as core issues of special education. By looking at the relation of autonomy and acknowledgment, legitimation and responsibility, pedagogical transformation and the transformation of pedagogy, special education can be grounded qua pedagogy.
