Abstract (German):Die Culturally Responsive Classroom Management Self-Efficacy Scale (CRCMSES; Siwatu, Putman, Starker-Glass & Lewis, 2015) stellt ein neues Instrument zur Erfassung der Selbstwirksamkeit hinsichtlich kultursensiblen Classroom Managements von Lehrkräften dar. (DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):The Culturally Responsive Classroom Management Self-Efficacy Scale (CRCMSES; Siwatu, Putman, Starker-Glass, & Lewis, 2015) was developed to assess teacher self-efficacy in using culturally responsive classroom management skills. The present study aims at verifying the dimensional structure of the CRCMSES with exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses in a sample of 504 pre-service teachers in two German universities. Results indicated that the German version of the CRCMSES replicates well in this cultural context, with an overall two-factor structure (I, instructional and relational adaptations; II, cooperative learning arrangements) showing a better fit compared to a one-factor solution of the original scale. Moreover, the two subscales showed the expected negative correlations with a measure of cultural diversity-related stress. These results support the good psychometric properties of the German version of the CRCMSES. (DIPF/Orig.)
