The university publishing house (Universitätsverlag) Brockmeyer was established in 1974 and until 2000, it printed a large scope of science literature focusing on linguistics, economics, East Asia science, history, politics, legal science and journalistics. With respect to the domain of educational science, the “Dortmunder Arbeiten zur Schulgeschichte und historischen Didaktik“ (Dortmund series on school history and history of didactics) as well as the “Dortmunder Beiträge zur Pädagogik“ (Dortmund contributions to pedagogics) , both founded in the 1980s and 1990s, are of particular relevance. A large part of these scholarly titles is out of print, or limited copies can be obtained at special prices from the publishing house shop. The Society aims to promote educational research, and to render its results usable by all areas of education and care.
