(DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):Taking the youth policy of the American occupation authorities of after 1945 as an example and drawing on archives of the US authorities recently made accessible, the author shows that the American educational policy was by no means restricted to the school system. Rather, it was part of an extensive plan to create new patterns of action and qualification as well as new institutions for both adolescents and teachers. In the field of youth policy, this plan was largely carried out in opposition to the traditional ideas of the Germans involved. (DIPF/Orig.)
