Abstract (English):The paper analyzes Rousseaus theory of the sexes and its importance to the "Education naturelle" and the concept of the "homme naturel". The author claims that "Sophie" constitutes that part of the "education naturelle" that is crucial to the possibility of leading a privat life as an "homme naturel". To substantiate this thesis, she analyzes how Rousseau argues for a specific education for women in book V of his "Emile". The discussion of the crucial premises leads to an inquiry into the place of "Sophie" within the concept of an "education naturelle". "Sophie" functions as a normative guideline for Emile in fulfilling his reproductive obligations without losing his heart to a woman. According to Rousseau, not only civil obligations but also love implies a dependency - and thus a self-alienation that is not consistent with his concept of the "homme naturel". (DIPF/Orig.)
