(DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):Taking a model seminar of project-based learning as an example for teaching, this article analyzes how student teachers deal with the contradictory contexts of presenting knowledge versus organizing self-regulated learning processes in their pedagogical work with students. The seminar was evaluated employing quantitative as well as qualitative methods to analyze how first experiences with project-based learning can be supported didactically at university. As a result, a close interplay of theoretical and practical elements was reconstructed as a pivotal factor influencing the development of consistent didactic concepts. The systematic integration of causes for reflecting on previous educational experiences as well as on subjective theories of learning and teaching also facilitated the emerging understanding of project-based instruction. Employing comparative analysis, a heuristic representing specific modes of dealing with the contradictory contexts of presenting versus discovering knowledge is developed. From the view of the quantitative and qualitative analyses conclusions are drawn regarding the organization of the first phase of teacher education. (DIPF/Orig.)
