Abstract (English):This article presents the application of the analytical short film (ASF) in teacher training seminars and the main results of the accompanying research. An ASF is understood as a short film of about 2–3 min length together with an explanatory text (Complementary Information) that shows a specific perspective on videotaped classroom praxis. In the seminar, students created ASFs from their subjective perspective on good music teaching as well as from a theoretical perspective. Central findings of the accompanying research indicate that the usage of the method increases the students’ abilities to reason on a scientific basis and improves their levels of reflection (Roters, 2012).
