Abstract (English): | The considerations in this article address the field of inclusive music education from a theoretical point of view. The central question is how to initiate inclusive processes while making music in classrooms. For possible answers, a theoretical approach of music education (Krause, 2008) is modified and extended according to the requirements of inclusive settings. Referring to the symbolic interactionism, it is shown that making music – interpreted as social interaction – enables the taking over of roles and normalizes interaction. Furthermore, it facilitates the construction of meaning and negotiation processes in two ways: on the one hand, relating to the meaning of making music; on the other hand, relating to the meaning created between individuals.
