Abstract (English): | A mobile shepherd‘s hut is traveling across the country and opening up a space for telling stories, daydreaming and imagining the future. The shepherd‘s wagon is a playful, artistic educational project for adults, a public space where people can come together and „drop out“ of the increasingly compressed time structures of everyday life. The author is the initiator and coordinator of this „transnational traveling education“ and reflects on the history of the project from a temporal perspective. What had begun as a small-scale project for collectively slowing down in public space soon had to deal with an attempt to be assimilated by the dominant logic of acceleration in the funding sector for social innovations: The public pedagogy of an educational hut without any output-oriented agenda or meticulous schedule wanders off beyond formal European educational targets, which are pervaded by narratives of immediacy and efficiency. Shared daydreaming as an educational experience runs the risk of being diluted into a service model on the assembly line, thereby losing its utopian disruptive element. (DIPF/Orig.) |
