Abstract (English): | The diagnostic instrument harnet 2 is utilised for assessing and promoting vocational competencies. The instrument is also very well suited to be applied to individuals with a migrant background. The adequacy of this tool for this particular target group has been shown in a study conducted by the Institute for regional innovation and social research which has mainly been dealing with section one of the tool. The study found that the language background of the participants influences the test results only on three questions within the module. The potential of hamet 2 to particularly cover the individual competencies of people with a migration background is depending largely on the people administering the test and the setting of the test and the requirements provided by the organising body.
