(DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):In Germany, the early development of laboratory methods in teacher training followed either the microteaching tradition or took place within a framework defined by various psychological theories (such as humanistic psychology, behavioural theory, and cognitive psychology). During the 1990s, the number of publications on microteaching and related methods decreased considerably, but a reorientation simultaneously took place: training models developed since 1990 focused increasingly on the specific needs of teacher training, rather than on certain traditions or theories. According to the authors, training methods are a valuable supplement to traditional teacher preparation. (DIPF/Orig.)
