Abstract (German):Im Rahmen einer Unterrichtseinheit im Physikunterricht für 12. (DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):Jigsaw classroom and station-to-station methods were compared with respect to achievement, learning experience and verbal interaction in the learning groups. The teaching unit was held in 12th grade physics classes with a total of 282 students. Jigsaw classroom and station-to-station method are different regarding the extent of structuring the cooperation, teaching expectancy, resource interdependence and task interdependence. Students from the station-to-station-condition felt more autonomous than in the Jigsaw classroom; in the Jigsaw classroom groups used more physics concepts in verbal interaction. Students performed better in station-to-station learning compared to the jigsaw classroom; in the jigsaw classroom expert performance was better than tutored Performance and better than average performance in the station-to-station groups. The cooperative learning methods showed differential effects on achievement for students with high and low uncertainty orientation. (DIPF/Orig.)
