(DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):The relevance of the family for the attitudes of children and for social action in their peer groups is judged controversial. Because social action in family and peer group in most cases are analyzed separately and because we often have information from only one perspective we don't have sufficient answers to this question from empirical research too. This contribution tries to clarify to what extend patterns of problem-solving used in the family shape problem-solving in the peer group. For analyzing these interrelations we refer to the handling of delinquent behaviour of children. The analysis of qualitative interviews with children and their parents shows impressive interrelations between problem-solving in family and peer group. Especially the participation and integration of children in the problem-solving of the family and models of parental handling of conflicts seem to be influential. For different modes of problem-solving the age of the children and the educational background of the family are important too. These results contradict the idea, that peer groups socialise children to a great extend independently from the family. (DIPF/Orig.)
