Abstract (German): | Im Zentrum des Beitrags stehen Konstruktexplikation und Messung von Lernkultur. (ZPID) |
Abstract (English): | The article focuses on the definition and measurement ofa leaming culture. First the relevance of the topic learning culture is discussed. Based on a review of the existing literature an integrative definition of a learning culture is derived. A learning culture shows the priority that a Company assigns to learning and aims at improving employee skills and innovation capabilities of an Organization. To achieve this learning on the personal, group and organizational level needs to be integrated and a learning supportive infrastructure must be provided. Existing insruiments for measuring learning related attributes of work and organizations are reviewed. The newly developed instrument - the learning culture inventory (LCI) - is discussed in the main part of the article. Purpose, structure, theoretical underpinnings and consistency measures of the inventory are discussed. The instrument is available in an employee and a human resource expert version. (DIPF/Orig.) |
