Abstract (German):Die Autoren untersuchen 'Transkulturalität' als begriffliches, empirisches und normatives Paradigma und weisen aus migrationswissenschaftlicher Perspektive auf Grenzen und Einseitigkeiten des Paradigmas hin. Vor dem Hintergrund dieser Kritik wird als Bildungsperspektive der Frage nachgegangen, wem die Transzendierung kultureller Grenzen zugestanden wird und welche Formen der Überschreitung kultureller Grenzen als legitime und respektable Form gelten. Abstract (English):The authors examine the concept of 'trans-culturalism', treating it as a conceptional, empirical and normative paradigm, pointing out its limits and one-sidedness from a migration scientist's perspective. With this as a critical background, and from an educational point-of-view, they question who is entitled to transcend cultural boundaries and which forms of transgression can be accepted as legitimate and acceptable.
