(DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):The discussion on education for a sustainable development in Switzerland, which is presented in this article is a reflection of the variously shaped Swiss educational landscape. It is distinguished by a variety of actors and projects, opinions and positions; but at the same time shows little central control and coordination. The federal organisation of the educational system is one of the specific basic conditions for the realization of the UN-decade "Education for a sustainable development" (BNE) in Switzerland. Regarding the contents, the concept and the strategic discussion focus on one hand the relationship between BNE and the attempts performed in other fields (environmental education, global learning, health care etc.) and on the other hand the position of BNE towards the educational system. Central to this discussion is the question if one is able to implement BNE into the curriculum. (DIPF/Orig.)
