(DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):The article provides a survey on projects, authors, topics, and methods in the field of recent ethnographic studies carried out in Germany and internationally (US, GB), and explains some of the contexts giving new impulses to this field of research. The author describes, from a science-reflexive perspective, the embedding of the scientific student ethnography into a complex, concurrent field of discourse. On the one hand, we have the dominant, teacher-centered empirical pedagogy and, on the other, we have forms of popular, non-legitimized research and publications by students, former students, and teachers. Special emphasis is put on the close correlation between the history and positioning of student ethnography within the system of pedagogical research and the history and positioning of students within the educational system. The article concludes with a prognosis relating to the future perspectives of this segment of educational research. (DIPF/Orig.)
