| Abstract (German): | Der vorliegende Beitrag mahnt eine kritische Sicht der gegenwärtigen Erwachsenenbildung ein, weil sie im Bestreben, "employability" herzustellen, den lebenszerstörenden Elementen der vorherrschenden Globalisierungsmethode zur Hand geht. Eine emanzipative "citizenship-education" sollte sich an radikalen Demokratievorstellungen orientieren, die eine Erziehung nach Auschwitz unter Mitdenken der Gegebenheiten des begonnenen 21. | Abstract (English): | This article calls for a critical perspective on current adult education because in its endeavour to create employability, adult education supports the life-destroying elements of the prevailing globalisation method. An emancipative citizenship education should orient itself towards radical notions of democracy that continue with an education after Auschwitz by taking into consideration the conditions of the 21st century.
