(DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):Subjects ranging from 7 to 25 years were presented with an interview about adulthood and dilemmas containing an intrapersonal and interpersonal conflict. The conceptualization of human nature produced by the subjects were labeled into five levels of construction each consisting of the dimensions: personality theory, social theory, action theory and level of thought. These levels of construction of human nature also provided beliefs about upbringing and education. Already at stage I upbringing and education as a main goal were emphasized. Values of education were described by the young subjects in terms of wishful parent-child-interaction which were understood as a balanced behavior between two extremes. These three dimensions (self-reliance, values, and balanced behavior) were also found in higher order levels: as competences at stage II, as competences and actions organized by a central entity (identity) at stage lIla, as conceived by mutual relationships between persons (identities) at stage Illb, and as a subsystem within a total system of culture and society at stage IV. Taking these results as a theoretical background, a pedagogy of the concept of human nature is proposed in which stages of the conceptualization serve as a framework for educational (pedagogical) actions.
