(DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):Cognition and behavior during cultural contact situations are infiuenced by common sense theories. The question under investigation is: Is there any systematic relation between culture contactrelated common sense theories of teachers and the psychological dimension „idiocentrism — allocentrism" on the one side and experiences of social interactions with people from other cultures on the other side? On the base of an idiographic approach the common sense theories of teachers are Condensed considering different levels of generality and are validated by the dialog between observer and subject with the aim to agree to some final version. The Condensed common sense theories of idiocentric teacher trainees as well as the projections of idiocentric and allocentric pupils with high experience in cultural contact are presented as they are reflected on a given dilemma story and in their behaviors during a school lesson based on that story.
