Abstract (English):Based upon a case of dyslexia combined with anxiety a discussion is presented concerning the possibility of ceasing to understand dyslexia as a nosological entity but rather of considering it as a symptom in the psychoanalytic meaning of the world. The generally applied forms of (behavioral) therapy, oriented towards cognitive theories of learning are compared with a psychoanalytical concept which, in its etiological approach, takes into account repressions in the light of instinct theory, but also of narcissism, sorrow, and understanding.
