(DIPF/Orig.) |
Abstract (English): | The article reports on a qualitative study of the social conditions of aggressiveness and violent action. 27 young men and women - between 18 and 22 years old — were shown the violentfilm „Romper Stomper " and questioned thereafter with two seperate interviews, a focussed interview about the film experience and a biographical interview. There is evidence from the results of the focussed interviews that the reception of violent film actions is influenced by the context of these actions, especially by their justification. Additionally, the results of the biographical interviews demonstrate that the film reception is embedded in the men's and womens' biography, their aggressive tendencies and their innerfamilial relationships. In comparison with non-aggressive youth the group of aggressive and violent young men are stronger influenced by film violence. Their aggressive tendencies are especially reinforced when the violent film actions appear as justified. (DIPF/Orig.) |
