| Abstract (Englisch): | In the multi-level system of adult education, various actors on different levels contribute to the facilitation of adult learning resulting in a need for coordinating their actions. This volume of the International Yearbook of Adult Education aims at exploring multiple modes and contexts of coordination of action in adult education organizations. The volume includes four empirical articles compiling different perspectives on coordination of action. Actor constellations and coordination of action in public adult education centers are examined and actor and interest constellations in migrant organizations are researched. Furthermore, coordinative mechanisms in the interaction between teaching and planning staff in adult education are explored and professional commitment of staff in continuing education is analyzed against the background of different working conditions. In the category “Miscellaneous”, the volume is complemented by an article which provides an empirical cartography of the research field of political adult education. (DIPF/Orig.) |
