| Abstract (German): | Die Pädagogische Hochschule Zürich war in ihrer Pionierphase von 2002 bis 2010 in einer Matrixorganisation aufgestellt. Damit eröffnete sich die Möglichkeit, die Kompetenzen des wissenschaftlichen Personals flexibler und breiter zu nutzen. Die Matrixorganisation kann den Wissensaustausch fördern und dem wissenschaftlichen Personal vielfältige Karrieren innerhalb der Organisation eröffnen. Eine Matrixorganisation ist jedoch eine grosse Herausforderung für die Führungspersonen. Das Funktionieren der Organisation ist noch stärker als sonst von der klaren Definition der Kompetenzen und der Übernahme der Führungsrollen abhängig. |
| Abstract (English): | In its pioneer phase from 2002 to 2010 the Zurich University of Teacher Education (PH Zürich) was set up in a matrix organization. This opened the potential to use the competencies of the scientific personnel more flexibly and more broadly. The matrix organization promotes knowledge exchange and opens to the scientific personnel various careers within the organization. A matrix organization is however a big challenge in terms of leadership. It depends even more than other forms of organisation on the clear definition of the leadership role and a strong role taking of its leaders. |
