Abstract (German):Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung ist traditionell lokal orientiert, sieht sich nun an pädagogischen Hochschulen aber in einem Kontext positioniert, der mit einer Forschungs- und Wissenschaftsorientierung der internationalen Dimension eine andere Bedeutung zuweist. In diesem Beitrag wird argumentiert, dass die pädagogischen Hochschulen mit ihren Internationalisierungsbemühungen insbesondere ihre Hochschulförmigkeit unterstreichen. Ein Ausdruck davon sind die Teilnahme am Bologna-Prozess sowie die Förderung der internationalen studentischen Mobilität, die aber curricular und konzeptionell kaum mit den angestrebten Berufskompetenzen verknüpft ist. Als Bildungsanliegen hingegen ist «Interkulturalität» ein schon länger diskutiertes Thema der Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung, das zentrale Anliegen der Internationalisierung pädagogisch bearbeitbar macht.
Abstract (English):Teacher education is traditionally very locally oriented. Within the new context of the recently established universities of teacher education in Switzerland, international dimensions have become increasingly important with regard to research and science. The presented contribution argues that the internationalisation efforts of the universities of teacher education primarily serve to demonstrate their academic status. As an expression of this, universities of teacher education participate in the Bologna process and implement international student exchange despite of its curricularly and conceptionally weak connection to the intended development of professional competencies. As an educational concern, however, «interculturality» has been a long-established topic of teacher education that is responsive to pedagogical implications of internationalisation.
