| Abstract (German): | Im Zuge des Ausbaus von Angeboten wissenschaftlicher Weiterbildung besteht für Universitäten die Herausforderung, sich zunehmend als lebenslaufbezogene Bildungsanbieter zu positionieren und zu profilieren. Hierzu muss die wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung allerdings nicht nur auf der Ebene des universitären Bildungsprozessmanagements in Form von konkreten Angeboten realisiert, sondern auch in das universitäre Bildungsbetriebsmanagement, also in die grundlegenden strukturellen, strategischen und kulturellen Planungen einer Universität integriert werden. Der Artikel schließt hier an und beleuchtet auf Basis empirischer Ergebnisse eines aktuellen DFG-Projekts, wie Universitäten sich gegenüber der Weiterbildung positionieren und auf welche Art und Weise die Implementierung wissenschaftlicher Weiterbildung vollzogen wird. | Abstract (English): | In the course of the expansion of offers of continuing scientific training, universities are faced with the challenge of increasingly having to position and distinguish themselves as providers of life-course-related education. To this end, however, continuing scientific training not only needs to be realized on the level of the university management of educational processes in the form of concrete programs, it also needs to be integrated in the operational management of academic education, i. e. in the fundamental structural, strategic, and cultural planning processes of a university. The contribution picks up on this approach and, on the basis of empirical findings of a current DFG (German Research Association) project, examines how universities position themselves with regard to further education and in what way the implementation of continuing scientific training is carried out.
