Abstract (English):This study introduces a translated German version of the Musical Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge Questionnaire (MTPACK-Q) developed by Bauer (2013) to measure musical technological, pedagogical and content knowledge (MTPACK) of music teachers at primary and secondary education schools. The general TPACK “is a conceptual framework for the teacher knowledge necessary to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning” (Bauer, 2013, p. 1). The presented study aims to introduce TPACK into German music pedagogical discourse as well as to validate a German translation of the MTPACK-Q with a sample of 216 (71.8% female) music teachers. The results show that the MTPACK-Q factors can be measured reliably, but there is no satisfactory fit between the corresponding MTPACK framework and data. From this, we conclude that there must be more research to specify MTPACK, on the one hand, and the technical knowledge of German music teachers, on the other hand. (DIPF/Orig.)
