Abstract (English):By comparing compositions for four voices of the Baroque period (e. g. Bach) with those of the Renaissance period (e. g. Hassler), it is shown how the harmony of the two differ in their quality (understood neutrally as characteristic) due to certain criteria which can be analysed quantitatively. By applying the quantitative method of analysis, an attempt is made at objectifying the (phenomenological) interpretation of works of more modern periods (i.e. the end of the 16th to the beginning of the 20th century) in regard to harmony. The close relationship between quality and "expression" is noted. This approach is related to the science of teaching music by the fact that it employs the didactics of the field "composition/analysis". (DIPF/Orig.)
