| Abstract (English): | This is a study of the effects of film-music on the audience. The latest theories on this subject are introduced which all meet in the hypothesis that the viewer gains his impressions from the film's pictures, and that the underlying music helps to ascertain these impressions emotionally. Using some film sequences this hypothesis is put to the test, showing a restriction in that the effect of the music depends on the optic information density. (DIPF/Orig.) |
