Abstract (English):In this investigation publications on music education of the last ten years are analysed to show whether affective objectives have been superseded. lt was found that under the influence of theories from critical philosophy cognitive objectives were dominant in the early seventies, but that since 1975 affective objectives are regaining interest. These trends are evidenced by an analysis of the official objectives issued by the school authorities of Nordrhein-Westfalen, showing however differences for the various types of schools. Same as with emotionality and rationality, affective and cognitive objectives of music education can only be qualified by using correlations. (DIPF/Orig.)
