| Abstract (German): | Pflanzen genießen eine gesellschaftliche Wahrnehmung, die unter ihrer Bedeutung für das Leben auf dem Planeten liegt. Während die Klimakrise viele Menschen beschäftigt, erfährt die Abnahme biologischer Vielfalt lange nicht so viel Aufmerksamkeit, obwohl die sich anbahnende Katastrophe zwar andere, aber keineswegs geringere Auswirkungen haben dürfte. Zudem hängen beide Phänomene eng zusammen, angesichts der Überschreitung planetarer Grenzen. Deshalb soll hier der Blick auf das Politische der Pflanzen geschärft werden, dem auch in der Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung mehr Aufmerksamkeit gebührt. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Plants do not receive enough attention in the societal discussion given the dangers to life on this planet. While the climate crisis occupies many people, the decline in biological diversity does not receive as much attention, although the impending catastrophe is likely to have other, by no means smaller, effects. In addition, both phenomena are closely related to each other, given the transgression of planetary boundaries. For this reason, the focus here should be on the political aspect of plants, which also deserves more attention in education for sustainable development. (DIPF/Orig.) |
