| Abstract (German): | Die Hauptschule wird kurz in ihrer Entwicklung als Schulart in Abhängigkeit von demografischen Trends dargestellt. Sie ist heute nur noch in einer Minderheit von Ländern vertreten und hat sich schulorganisatorisch nur in Nordrhein-Westfalen verselbstständigen können. Schwierige Bedingungen für die Leistungsfähigkeit der Hauptschule ergeben sich, wenn sie unmittelbar mit der Gesamtschule um Schülerinnen und Schüler konkurriert. Die Ermöglichung eines mittleren Abschlusses an Hauptschulen ist mit neuen Benachteiligungen für die Absolventinnen und Absolventen verbunden. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | The "Hauptschule" [lower secondary modern school] is shortly depicted as type of school in its development subject to demographic trends. Nowadays, "Hauptschulen" exist only in a few federal states and have become school-organizationally independent only in North Rhine-Westphalia. Difficult conditions for the performance of "Hauptschulen" arise if they compete for pupils directly against comprehensive schools. The admittance of secondary school level I certificates at "Hauptschulen" leads to new discriminations of the graduates. (DIPF/Orig.) |
