| Abstract (German): | Der Beitrag bietet zunächst eine umfassende chronologische Darstellung der Diskussion um die Hausaufgaben in den letzten 50 Jahren. Gezeigt wird, dass einerseits viele Fragestellungen und Probleme von hoher Konstanz sind und dass sich andererseits immer wieder neue Perspektiven und veränderte theoretische sowie empirische Zugänge zum Thema entwickelt haben. Es schließt sich die Darstellung eines integrierenden Prozessmodells zur Wirkungsweise von Hausaufgaben an, welches für theoretische, empirische und didaktische Diskussionen und Weiterentwicklungen genutzt werden kann. | Abstract (English): | To begin with, the article provides a comprehensive chronological account of the academic discussion on homework over the past 50 years. It demonstrates, on the one side, that many aspects and problems of the discussion have proven a high level of consistency, while on the other side, new perspectives and theoretical approaches have often created fresh approaches to the topic. The article further provides an integrating process model of the function of homework which can be implemented in theoretical, empirical and didactic contexts and is meant to provide a basis for further developments.
