Abstract (German): | Regina Soremski verdeutlicht anhand der Analyse von Bildungsbiographien von Bildungsaufsteigenden im Feld der Wissenschaft und über dieses hinaus, wie erst in der Wechselseitigkeit institutioneller und lebensweltlicher Bildungserfahrungen deren aufstiegsförderliches Passungsverhältnis zum Tragen kommt. Sie schlussfolgert in ihrem Beitrag, dass die soziale Einbindung in zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen, in die Bildungsinstitution als Sozialisationsinstanz oder in das regional-lebensweltliche Milieu eine zentrale Rolle spielt. Abstract (English): | Access to academic education is still a privilege in Germany. Facing statistics of educational participation there are indications that this result is caused by effects of social origin. However, if we look at educational careers of first academic students from a biographical point of view then further socialization contexts come into view. The article deals with the question of how these institutional and lifeworld-related circumstances interrelate in the course of life. Closely associated with this question is a second research focus on educational and socializational experiences which could foster educational upward mobility. Based on an empirical qualitative research study (Soremski 2019), on the one hand, heuristic models were discussed in order to record the interrelation between institution and lifeworld, and on the other hand, selected findings were described as typical constellations that could enhance educational upward mobility.
