| Abstract (German): | Seit ihrem Mannheimer Parteitag von 1906 und den Schulkämpfen in der Weimarer Republik war die Bildungspolitik der deutschen Sozialdemokratie durch ein klares Bekenntnis zu einem differenzierten, horizontal gestuften Schulsystem gekennzeichnet. Nach den Plänen des niedersächsischen Ministerpräsidenten Gabriel scheint diese Tradition vor ihrem Ende zu stehen - zum Nachteil für die Bildungschancen der Kinder und Jugendlichen! (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Ever since the Mannheim Convention of 1906 and the school-struggles of the Weimar Republic, social democratic educational policy has been characterized by a clear affirmation of a differentiated horizontally graded school-system. Judging by the plans of Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Gabriel, this tradition seems to have come to an end - to the disadvantage of the educational opportunities of children and youths!
