| Abstract (German): | Wie kann Transdisziplinarität als Forschungsprinzip in Hochschulen institutionalisiert werden? Diese Frage wird in dem Artikel von Christine Ahrend und Audrey Podann diskutiert. Es wird betont, dass die Institutionalisierung von Transdisziplinarität eine aktive Anstrengung der Hochschulleitung erfordert und unterstützende Strukturen sowie eine klare strategische Ausrichtung benötigt. Die Autoren stellen verschiedene Beispiele vor, wie Hochschulen transdisziplinäres Arbeiten unterstützen und institutionalisieren können. Es wird auch auf die Bedeutung von Transfer und Third Mission als dritte Säule der Wissenschaft neben Forschung und Lehre eingegangen. Die Autoren betonen, dass die Institutionalisierung von Transdisziplinarität nicht nur innerhalb des Wissenschaftssystems, sondern auch in allen relevanten Teilen der Gesellschaft stattfinden muss. | Abstract (English): | How can transdisciplinarity be institutionalized as a research principle in universities? This question is discussed in the article by Christine Ahrend and Audrey Podann. It is emphasized that the institutionalization of transdisciplinarity requires an active effort by the university management and needs supporting structures as well as a clear strategic direction. The authors present several examples of how universities can support and institutionalize transdisciplinary work. The importance of transfer and third mission as a third pillar of academia alongside research and teaching is also addressed. The authors emphasize that the institutionalization of transdisciplinarity must take place not only within the science system, but also in all relevant parts of society. (Editor) |
