| Abstract (German): | Kommunale Bildungsberichterstattung ist en vogue. Durch eine umfangreiche Projektförderung des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) hat das in der Tradition der nationalen Bildungsberichterstattung stehende kommunale Bildungsmonitoring bundesweit eine beeindruckende Verbreitung erfahren. Der Beitrag stellt programmatische Annahmen über den Mehrwert kommunaler Bildungsberichterstattung zur Diskussion. Im starken Kontrast zum aktuellen bildungspolitischen Hype soll gezeigt werden, dass die empirischen Befunde zu den Steuerungswirkungen kommunaler Bildungsberichte mager ausfallen. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Municipal education reporting is in vogue. Thanks to extensive project funding from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), municipal education monitoring, which is in the tradition of national education reporting, has spread impressively throughout Germany. This article discusses programmatic assumptions about the added value of municipal education reporting. In stark contrast to the current education policy hype, it will be shown that the empirical findings on the steering effects of municipal education reports are meager. (DIPF/Orig.) |
