| Abstract (German): | Der Beitrag setzt sich mit den international diskutierten Ansätzen von Literalität und Numeralität als soziale Praxis auseinander und fragt, inwiefern diese der deutschsprachigen Grundbildungsforschung und -praxis Impulse und Anregungen liefern können. Diese Ansätze fragen nach Anwendungsbereichen und Handlungen zu Schriftsprache und Mathematik im weitesten Sinne in verschiedenen sozialen und gesellschaftlichen Kontexten. Dazu werden der theoretische Rahmen von Literalität und Numeralität als soziale Praxis erläutert sowie Ursprünge und Vorläufer dieser Konzepte vorgestellt. Abschließend werden zwei ethnographisch angelegte, explorative Studien zum individuellen Umgang Erwachsener mit Schriftsprache sowie zur Alltagsmathematik im Wandel der Zeit vorgestellt. | Abstract (English): | The article deals with the internationally discussed approaches to literacy and numeracy as social practice and asks to what extent these approaches can provide impulses and suggestions for research and practice with regard to basic education courses in Germany. The approaches to literacy and numeracy as social practice explore areas of application and action concerning written language and everyday mathematics in various social and societal contexts. The theoretical frameworks of literacy and numeracy as social practice are explained and the origins and precursors of the concepts are presented. Finally, two ethnographic, explorative studies on the individual use of written language and on everyday mathematics in the course of time by adults are presented. (DIPF/Orig.) |
