Abstract (English): | (In)Direct encounter with dying and death in the environment of children make it relevant to address the phenomena of dying and death in an interdisciplinary way (Pesel 2006). Research with children since the 1930s (e.g., Schilder & Wechsler 1934; Kane 1979) show that the subconcepts of the elaborated death concept build up during the primary school years. However, a desiderat can be identified in the study of children’s conceptions of dying and death reconstructed in the context of constructivist didactic theories. Within the framework of a qualitative study, a method triangulation (Flick 2020) was implemented in which drawings were first collected and subsequent individual interviews were conducted. The analysis is done with a qualitative content analysis (Kuckartz & Rädiker 2022). First results show that children set their own priorities in the drawings about death. (DIPF/Orig.) |
