| Abstract (German): | Der Beitrag nimmt anhand der Daten der Engagement-Befragung von Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen für den Dritten Engagementbericht die digitalen Praktiken Jugendlicher als politische Partizipationspraktiken in den Blick. Ausgehend von der Debatte um sich verschärfende Beteiligungsungleichheiten und veränderte Mechanismen demokratischer Willensbildung im digitalen Raum fragt er nach Zusammenhängen zwischen verschiedenen Formen digitaler Praktiken und sozialen Ungleichheitsdimensionen. Dabei werden insbesondere niedrigschwellige Praktiken als Potentiale für eine breitere politische Partizipation junger Menschen diskutiert. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Based on data from the youth engagement survey for the German government's Third Engagement Report, this article focuses on the digital practices of young people as political participation practices. Starting from the debate about intensifying participation inequalities and changing mechanisms of political socialization in the digital field, the article asks for links between different types of digital practices and dimensions of social inequality. In particular 'low-threshold' practices are discussed as potentials for a broader political participation of young people. (DIPF/Orig.) |
