| Abstract (German): | Vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen Kontroverse über den Entlastungs- bzw. Belastungscharakter von Arbeitslosigkeit wird der unzureichende Entwicklungsstand der Arbeitslosenforschung (unklare Ursache-Wirkungsbeziehungen, divergierende Erklärungen von beobachtbaren Auswirkungen) diskutiert und das Konzept einer differentiellen Arbeitslosenforschung entwickelt. Die sich hieraus ergebenden Grundanforderungen für die Bildungsarbeit mit erwachsenen Arbeitslosen werden dargestellt. Die Vorstellung, die Beteiligung an erwerbswirtschaftlicher Arbeit durch Freizeitaktivitäten oder Weiterbildung substituieren zu können, wird zurückgewiesen. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Against the background of the current controversy over the principle aspects of the experience of unemployment (relief vs. strain) the inadequate state of psychological research on the unemployed (unclarified cause-and -effect -relations, diverse hypotheses on the impact of unemployment) is discussed. A research concept for analyzing the differential effects of unemployment is developed. The main requirements for adult education with unemployed people are represented. In the author’s opinion it seems questionable that the role of an employed person can be substituted by leisure time activities or education. |
