| Abstract (German): | Schulerfolg von Minoritätsgruppen hängt unter anderem ab (a) von der Alltagstheorie über Schule und Lebenserfolg, (b) von primären (d. h. vor dem Kontakt mit der westlichen Kultur bestehenden) und sekundären (nach dem Kontakt sich entwickelnden) kulturellen und sprachlichen Unterschieden und (c) vom Typus der jeweiligen Minorität, wobei „kastenartige“ Minoritäten besonders betroffen sind, da sie häufig Opposition und Widerstand gegen über der Schule entwickeln. Einige Vorschläge zur Verbesserung des Schulerfolgs von Minoritätsgruppen werden diskutiert. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Conditions accounting for variability in minority Students behavior and success are (a) Status mobility System / folk theory of success and schooling, (b) primary cultural differences (which existed before two populations came in contact) and secondary cultural differences (which came into being after two populations had come in contact with each other) and (c) types of minorities. The „castelike“ minorities experience persistent disproportionate school failure because of job ceiling, their distrust of the schools and their oppositional and/or ambivalent cultural frame of reference. Educational consequences are discussed under several perspectives. |
