| Abstract (German): | Deutsche Auslandsschulen (und ebensolche anderer Länder) tangieren Erziehung und Bildung in internationaler Perspektive und gehören daher in den Einzugsbereich der Vergleichenden Erziehungswissenschaft, wo sie jedoch bis dato eher blinde Flecken darstellen. Eine Sichtung vorliegender Literatur zur deutschen Auslandsschularbeit zeigt, dass die Anzahl einschlägiger Publikationen insgesamt gering ist, dass es wenig ausgewiesen wissenschaftliches Wissen über sie gibt, und dass spezifisch erziehungswissenschaftliche Forschungen noch seltener sind. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden vorliegende Publikationen zunächst nach der Art ihrer Wissensbestände charakterisiert. Anschließend werden mögliche Ursachen für das geringe Interesse am Thema Auslandsschulen sondiert. Daran schließt sich ein typologisierender Gedankengang an, wie man das Thema deutsche Auslandsschulen in verschieden geartete nationale, internationale und transnationale Bildungsräume einordnen kann. | Abstract (English): | German schools abroad (and foreign schools in other countries) affect education from an international perspective and therefore belong to the field of Comparative Education, where they have so far tended to be a blind spot. A review of the existing literature on German schools abroad shows that the number of relevant publications is small overall, that there is little explicit academic knowledge about them, and that specific educational research on them is even rarer. Against this background, existing publications are first characterized according to the type of knowledge they contain. Possible reasons for the lack of interest in the topic of schools abroad are then explored. This is followed by typologizing on how the topic of German schools abroad may be classified into different national, international and transnational educational spaces. (Author) |
