| Abstract (German): | In dem Beitrag werden zunächst Bezugspunkte aktueller coronabezogener Verschwörungserzählungen skizziert, um die geschichtsrelativierende Nutzung von Symboliken und Vergleichen herauszustellen, welche im Spektrum des Protestes gegen die Corona-Schutzmaßnahmen auszumachen sind. Die dabei identifizierten Anknüpfungen an Verfolgungs- und Widerstandsgeschichte bieten diesem Spektrum eine Möglichkeit zum Versuch der moralischen Aufwertung der eigenen Position und eine scheinbare Legitimation des daraus begründeten Handelns. Verweigerungspraxen in Bezug auf die Corona-Schutzmaßnahmen werden stilisiert als scheinbar notwendige, vermeintlich widerständige Handlungen. Anschließend wird dargestellt, wie diese Entwicklungen die politische Bildung vor Herausforderungen stellen, wenn klassische Schlüsselbegriffe wie Freiheit und Mündigkeit in der aktuellen Debatte egoistisch-verkürzend vereinnahmt werden. Der Beitrag schließt mit Überlegungen zur politischen Bildungsarbeit im Kontext der Coronaleugner:innen-Proteste. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | The article outlines current COVID-19-related conspiracy narratives, highlighting comparison and symbolism that can be discerned in the spectrum of protest against the COVID-10-protection measures, which are marked as historically relativizing. The connections to the history of anti-Semitic persecution and antifascist resistance during the German National Socialism identified in this context offer this spectrum an opportunity to attempt a moral revaluation of their position and a seeming legitimization of the actions based on it. Practices of refusal about the corona protection measures are characterized as seemingly necessary, supposedly 'resistant' actions against a constructed enemy image striving for 'the end of the world as we know it', which affects scientists, politicians, journalists and stakeholders of the civil society in various nuances and ostensibly legitimizes anti-Semitic attacks. Subsequently, it is drafted how these developments pose challenges to political education when key terms such as freedom and maturity are selfishly and abridgedly appropriated in the current debate. The article concludes with reflections on civic education in the context of the COVID-19-denier protests. (DIPF/Orig.) |
