| Abstract (German): | Der Beitrag zeichnet die Entwicklung der Beschäftigung mit Themen rund um das Sterben und die Begleitung am Lebensende für Menschen mit kognitiver Beeinträchtigung in den Bereichen Forschung, Politik und Praxis nach. Ausgehend vom internationalen Forschungsstand werden Entwicklungen in Deutschland beleuchtet. Erkenntnisse aus dem Forschungsprojekt PiCarDi („Palliative Care for People with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities“) weisen auf Anforderungen in der Begleitung am Lebensende hin und zeigen Entwicklungsbedarfe in der Eingliederungshilfe auf. Zielperspektive ist dabei die Sicherung des Rechts auf volle und gleichberechtigte Teilhabe bis zum Lebensende (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | This article traces the development of research, policy and practice in the field of dying and end-of-life care for people with cognitive impairments. Based on the international state of research, developments in Germany are examined. Findings from the PiCarDi ("Palliative Care for People with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities") research project point to the requirements of end-of-life care and highlight the need for development in disability services. The article aims at securing the right to full and equal participation until the end of life. (DIPF/Orig.) |
