| Abstract (German): | In dem Beitrag wird erstens die These vertreten, dass es kein methodisches Paradigma der qualitativen Forschung gibt, welches ein sinnvoll definierbares und in sich geschlossenes eigenständiges Konzept darstellt. Diese These wird damit belegt, dass sich hier der Forschungsprozess in mindestens 10 Phasen unterteilen lässt, in denen jeweils qualitative oder quantitative Forschungsprinzipien angewendet werden können. Die zweite These besagt, dass fachdidaktische Forschung sehr stark auf informationsreiche Datenquellen angewiesen ist, d. h. auf Datenerhebungsmethoden, die im allgemeinen den Bereich der qualitativen Forschung zugeordnet werden. Die dritte These bezieht sich auf die wissenschaftstheoretische Position qualitativer Forschung und behauptet, dass qualitative Forschung oft nach der Epistemologie des naiven Empirismus erfolgt. | Abstract (English): | In this contribution, the thesis is supported that no methodological paradigm of qualitative research exists which depicts a meaningful, definable and a completed independent concept. This thesis is supported by the fact that the research process can be subdivided into ten phases in which respective qualitative or quantitative research principles can be applied. The second thesis States specialist didaktical research is highly dependent on very advanced data sources, that means on methods of data acquisition which are normally designated to the area of qualitative research. The third thesis refers to the position of qualitative research in the realm of philosophy of Science and maintains that qualitative research often occurs following the epistemology of naive empirism.
