| Abstract (German): | In Anbetracht des Leitbildes einer aktiven Elternschaft ist für Familien im Kontext von Migration eine Kontinuität defizitorientierter Perspektiven hinsichtlich ihrer Erziehungsleistung festzuhalten, in denen u. a. Sprachdefizite und hieraus resultierende Risiken für die Bildungslaufbahn des Kindes problematisiert werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund wird in dem Beitrag ein Displaying ‚Good‘ Parenthood von Eltern im Kontext ihrer familiären Mehrsprachigkeit in den Blick genommen. Das Interviewgeschehen wird in diesem Zusammenhang als Teil einer multiple audiences (Seymour/Walsh 2013) verstanden, vor dem sich Eltern mit einer ‚guten‘ Elternschaft positionieren (müssen). Herausgearbeitet wird, wie Eltern die familiäre Mehrsprachigkeit und ihren sprachlichen Input als sprachpädagogisch relevant für frühkindliche Bildungsprozesse darlegen und legitimieren. Mit dieser Analyseperspektive können Erzählungen der Eltern zu ihren Erziehungsvorstellungen und -praktiken auch als Positionierung im Diskurs um ‚gute‘ Elternschaft gedeutet werden. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Against the background of an active parenthood as a guiding societal principle, families in the context of migration are faced with the continuity of deficit-oriented perspectives concerning their parenting performance, which inter alia implies the problematization of supposed language deficits and related risks for the educational attainments of their children. On the basis of methodological reflections on the contextuality of qualitative interviews, the interviewing process itself is understood in this article as part of multiple audiences (Seymour/Walsh 2015) in front of whom parents position themselves in the context of displaying ‘good’ parenthood with an active parenthood. The article shows how parents present and legitimize their language input and familial multilingualism as pedagogically relevant for early-childhood educational processes. With this perspective of analysis, parents’ narratives about their parental beliefs and practices can also be interpreted as a positioning in the discourse about ’good’ parenting. (DIPF/Orig.) |
