| Abstract (German): | Im Fokus des Beitrags steht übergreifend die frühe politische Sozialisation von Kindern. Die Autor*innen verweisen auf den Mangel an empirischen Belegen, mit denen die Notwendigkeit früher politischer, demokratischer Bildung begründet wird und zeigen anhand zweier Forschungsprojekte erste Ergebnisse auf, die diesem Anspruch Rechnung tragen. | Abstract (English): | The empirical basis for statements on the political socialization of younger children in particular is not satisfying. And the younger the children are, the weaker the empirical support of the quite ambitious objectives, as recently formulated by the Standing Scientific Commission of the KMK in the Federal Republic of Germany (SWK 2024). The enormous normative surplus with regard to early political and democratic education is therefore accompanied by a lack of empirically secured evidence. The two interdisciplinary research projects at TU Dortmund on which this article is based – “Politics, Journalism, Media – Competencies of Preschool and Primary School Children” (PoJoMeC) and “Facets of Democracy in Children” (DeFaKi) – are intended as mosaic pieces to remedy this deficiency and to sharpen the picture of the early political socialization of children. The results of their first implementation phases are presented in this article. (DIPF/Orig.) |
