| Abstract (German): | Der Beitrag geht drei Fragen nach. Zunächst werden Friedrich Karl Waechter sowie die zeithistorischen Kontexte der 68er-Bewegung und der antiautoritären Erziehung kurz vorgestellt (2). Der folgende Teil analysiert, wie Waechter im Anti-Struwwelpeter auf der Text- und insbesondere der Bildebene das Verhältnis von Freiheit und Erziehung thematisierte (3). Schließlich soll das Werk „mit pädagogischem Touch“ (Horn, 1999, S. 48) in die Entwicklung von Bild-Text-Kombinationen der 1970er und 1980er Jahre, die bildende und aufklärende Zwecke verfolgten, eingeordnet werden (4). | Abstract (English): | Since the late 1960s, comics have been discovered in West Germany as a medium of informal education for children and adults. In his Anti-Struwwelpeter from 1970, Friedrich Karl Waechter dealt with traditional educational practices and developed an alternative, libertarian model. The first part of the article introduces the artist and the historical context. The second part analyzes how Waechter addressed the relationship between freedom and education on the textual and especially the pictorial level. Finally, the Anti-Struwwelpeter will be placed in the context of the development of comics of the 1970s and 1980s, which pursued educational and enlightening purposes. (DIPF/Orig.) |
