| Abstract (German): | Der Beitrag unternimmt einen Streifzug durch die Begriffsgeschichte des Entrepreneurs seit dem 18. Jahrhundert und ordnet das Geschehen in die entstehende kapitalistische Wirtschafts- und Produktionsweise ein. Umrissen werden frühe Praktiken und Kontexte dieses einst neuartigen Unternehmertypus sowie die Kritik, die im 19. Jahrhundert unter anderem Grenzüberschreitungen zwischen Wirtschaft und Bildungswesen betraf. Der Blick wird auch auf die Gegenwart und einige propagierte Zukünfte modernen Entrepreneurships gerichtet, darunter mit Skepsis in Shakespeare’scher Manier. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | The article undertakes a foray through the history of the concept of the entrepreneur since the 18th century and places it in the context of the emerging capitalist mode of production. Early practices and contexts of this once novel type of business man are being outlined, as well as criticism, which in the 19th century concerned the transgression of boundaries between the economic and the educational systems. The focus is on the present, too, and finally on the propagated future of modern entrepreneurship, eventually with skepticism in sort of a Shakespearean manner. (DIPF/Orig.) |
